I started work on Wurm last November in an effort to learn a new skill during the down times. Taking inspiration from some beautiful medieval tapestries and keen to put the player in the role of the underdog, I developed a short game based on the challenges facing a recently hatched baby dragon. I thoroughly enjoyed working it all out, and now the game itself is finished. Job done.
Well, not exactly.
A familiar sensation of short-sightedness has started to creep in. It turns out that there are many more steps to follow in order to publish it and that it's quite an expensive process too. Wurm would probably never make back the amount it would cost to put it up for sale in the first place.
I am a lumpish, beef-witted, gudgeon. Curse these unexpected publishing costs, fie upon them - by my beard!
(thanks medieval insult generator)
Ok I feel better, I will post about Wurm again when things are sorted out, but in the meantime here is a short trailer to give you an idea - enjoy!
