Today I'm finishing this giant egg, which is for an outdoor children's show taking place mid-April. The base shape is polystyrene, which I covered with wood filler and sanded smooth. It then got a couple of coats of gesso and several layers of paint, working from wet to dry brush, and once it has fully dried I will give it a strong gloss varnish so it can survive the unreliable Scottish summer.
Another robot design, this time building form on top of a skeletal structure using wires in place of tendons and muscles.
